What CloudOut Studios is
We are a marketplace. We introduce people looking for creative space or artwork to the people who provide it. We are not the studio, and we are not the artist. The agreement to use a space or to buy a work is between you and them, with us in the middle handling the booking, the fee and the introduction.
Accounts
You must give a real email address and confirm it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got in; resetting your password signs out every device.
One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else without their say so.
Listing a studio or a work
Listing is free. Everything you submit is reviewed by our team before it appears, and we can decline it or take it down later. We will tell you why.
You promise that what you list is yours to list, that the description and photographs are honest and current, and that the space is safe and lawful to use for what it says. You are responsible for your own insurance, permits and safety obligations.
Fees
When a booking or a sale goes through, CloudOut takes a commission: 7% from the provider and 5% from the client, so around 12% of the transaction in total. The client sees the fee added to the price before they commit, and the provider sees the deduction before they list.
We may change these rates. Existing confirmed bookings and orders keep the rate agreed at the time.
Orders and bookings
Placing an order is a request, not a completed purchase. A piece is held for you while we confirm it with the seller. We confirm or cancel, and payment and delivery are arranged directly with us. No payment is taken on the site.
Original works are one of a kind. Where two people request the same piece at the same moment, the first request through gets it and the other is told immediately.
Contact details
We do not publish a provider's phone number, email or street address. Those are released once a booking is confirmed. Going around the platform to avoid the fee after being introduced through it is a breach of these terms and we may close the account.
Cancellation
We can cancel an order or booking, and will say why. Where a piece is released it goes back on sale. A provider who repeatedly cancels may have listings removed.
What we do not promise
We check listings before publishing, but we do not inspect every space in person or authenticate every work. We are not liable for damage, injury or loss arising from your use of a space, or for a dispute between a buyer and a seller, beyond what the law requires of us.
Closing an account
You can ask us to close yours at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms, misrepresents a listing, or is used to harass anyone.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will say so on this page and date it.
